Performer Booking
|
The Canmore Folk Music Festival presents Contemporary and Traditional Folk, as well
as Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Celtic, and World music. Presently, we book a total of
18 performers/groups - predominately Canadian. Of these, 5-7 performers/groups are
from the USA and abroad.
All performers participate in 2-4 workshops during the Sunday and Monday, as
well as one evening concert.
Artists wishing to apply should send their PR kit, CD/cassette/video, and email address
to the address below by January 31 (please indicate
which cuts you prefer us to listen to). Submissions are kept on file for 2 years.
We try to book the festival by mid-April. A letter of acknowledgement will be sent out ASAP.
If you have not heard from us by April 30, we regret that we were unable to include you this
year. Unfortunately, we cannot book all the performers we would like to present.
We urge performers to keep us informed by applying for the next festival - and by sending
change of address/phone number/agent, current releases, press clipping, email information, etc.
Due to our limited budget and time constraints, we regret that we are unable to respond to
all correspondence we receive, or to return all long-distance phone calls.
