Volunteers are the backbone of the Canmore Folk Music Festival. We can't do it without you!
Join over 450 friendly, helpful volunteers who make this festival work. Every year,
our enthusiastic volunteers donate over 4500 hours to guarantee our continued success.
The jobs are varied: from pounding nails to pounding keyboards; from selling tickets
to picking up garbage; from selling merchandise to co-ordinating and facilitating
artistic and logistical needs. Nearly every facet of the festival is run by volunteers.

Most volunteer jobs involve being on your feet for most of the 9 hours
Volunteers are placed in the areas where they are most needed. While we make every effort to
give our volunteers their stated preference, we reserve the right to place volunteers where we
most need them.
Areas of greatest need include: Family Area, Environment, Security, and Hospitality.
If you're a 'late night person' consider being a member of our post-festival hospitality
team - the team that puts together the performer and volunteer parties after the Sunday
and Monday evening concerts.
Applications will be forwarded to Coordinators for areas you indicate and you will be
contacted directly by the Coordinator if a volunteer position is available.
