Electrifying guitarist and award-winning singer songwriter Cécile Doo-Kingué embodies a luminous fusion of cultures and sounds — where blues, soul, jazz, chanson française and African rhythms meet, converse, and ignite.

Born in New York City to Cameroonian parents and now based in Montréal, Doo-Kingué weaves bridges between continents, rhythms, languages, and emotions, with a style that is both raw and refined, powerful and intimate.

A veteran of the funk, soul, roots, and blues scenes, she is widely regarded as one of Canada’s most versatile guitarists, recording or sharing stages with artists as diverse as the Montreal Jubilation Choir, Shakura S’Aida, Bernard Purdie, Canned Heat, Tower of Power, Angélique Kidjo, and Manu Dibango.

A multiple Maple Blues Award nominee, Doo-Kingué has released four critically ac-claimed albums and toured extensively across Canada and internationally, captivating audiences with her distinctive sound and magnetic stage presence.

After a health hiatus, Doo-Kingué returns to the stage with her fiery fretwork, velvety vocals, incisive songwriting, and new tunes, delivering performances that are both intimate and explosive, draped in a vibrant, borderless sound — raw emotion, authenticity, soulful intensity.
