Music rooted in land, lineage, and belonging. This workshop brings together three artists whose songs reach back through generations: Lancelot Knight, a Plains Cree singer-songwriter and activist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, carrying story and identity through a powerful fusion of music and theatre; Diyet and The Love Soldiers, from the Kluane First Nation territory in the Yukon, singing in both English and Southern Tutchone; and AHI, the Toronto songwriter of Caribbean heritage whose soulful folk draws from a deep well of identity and family. Different lands, different lineages, roots that run deep.
